Frostline Lands on Frozen Shores!

The latest update for DayZ, Frostline had it's release date confirmed late last month in a DayZ stream. The release date of 15th October 2024 is sooner than many anticipated, but still a very welcomed entry into our calender. 

During the streams, the DayZ devs announced and teased various changes and additions to come along with the update.  Both summaries can be found in the videos below!

Since 1/10/24, we have been flooded with Sakhal content from our favourite creators.  The map looks incredibly detailed, but if you're one for avoiding spoilers, you're in for a real treat come the 15th!

Azalea Returns!

The third playtest for the highly anticipated Azalea map is set to take place from October 3rd to 15th. This new map, developed by the talented OLIPOLLYZ, promises to offer a fresh and immersive experience for players, with diverse landscapes, new locations, and challenging gameplay.

By participating in the playtest, players can help shape the future of Azalea and ensure that it meets the high standards of the DayZ community

Chernarus As Never Before

DayZ players are flocking to HappyBombs' ZERO servers to experience the thrill of survival in the newly released Late Autumn/Early Winter Chernarus. This fresh take on the iconic map has introduced a colder climate without the extreme freezing temperatures of the coming winter seasons.

The new weather conditions present unique challenges like hunting and foraging being more difficult and the increased risk of hypothermia requires careful preparation. However, the change of seasons also brings with it a stunning new aesthetic with trees adorned in vibrant autumn foliage and snow dusting the ground.

HappyBombs' ZERO servers have been at the forefront of providing players with innovative and immersive DayZ experiences. The addition of the Late Autumn/Early Winter Chernarus map is just the latest example.

Base Building Baddies

Get ready to level up your base building game in DayZ with the latest innovation from the modding community. Dumpgrah and WarDog have been hard at work transforming those humble shipping containers into cozy, customizable mini-base rooms. 

No longer will you have to settle for a cramped and claustrophobic base. The container base rooms offer a spacious and versatile solution for players looking to establish a comfortable and secure home in the harsh world of Chernarus.

We are looking forward to this being used on community servers to give certain areas new tactical plays!  GJ.

If you are interested in learning more about the DayZ 1.26 update, we highly recommend watching State of Survival's video. It is a great resource for getting up to speed on all of the new changes coming to the game.

As a team, they have a wealth on knowledge when it comes to DayZ and its history, so you can bet this video is informative, insightful and entertaining.

This Month, we hand the gauntlet over to @TheRunningManZ from Ep.100 of Friendly?: A DayZ Podcast. Paul chose his favourite video of all time, 'Maverick' by Mr. Moon.

Upgrading your server with custom buildings just got a lot easier.

Thanks to @Battlesquatch's Dirty Fresh Cabins on the Steam workshop, you can get creative and build some sweet looking homesteads to visit.

'This mod is intended for admins and editors who want to create their own unique wooden structures. It includes five prefabs with no props/proxies so you can give each building a custom interior, and a set of modular components that can be used to construct your own unique buildings. 20 objects total, including working doors!'

DayZ Movie Crossovers

A DayZ community has to be one of the most creative.  Player Bâtard Sensible recreates famouse movie posters and scenes using DayZ as his canvas!

Now, I can see The Exorcist, The Shining and The Revenant, but I can't for the life of me figure out what dinosaur movie begins with 'The'.

Either way, we love seeing new creativity inside and outside of DayZ.  Whether it's a mod you've made for use inside the game, or movie scenes created to break the fourth wall. 

Can we put in a request for The Matrix and The Lord of the Rings please.

Sky Spawns

Spawning a player up in the sky is only a dream, until now. 

A collaboration between @Half Goblyn from the Chern oh Brand and Soul from the DayZ multi-tool (two console coders) has made this dream come true. 

With a little redirection with the code, they have managed to spawn players high above the map. Half Goblyn has put this into practice with his Xbox DayZ community server called DH2 Alpha. While still in early development, it will give you a taste of what can be done on DayZ and inspire new ways to start the DayZ adventure.

From solo's to squads.  From rallies to prison breaks.  You won't find a more interesting spread of events!
