New Community Manager Sets Sail with Rubber Boats
As the peak of Summer draws to a close and Autumn begins to set in, we welcome to huge additions to DayZ.
First, @Marks has landed the prestigious role of Community Manager. Notably, Marks has been a co-host of the @87.8SurviviorFM podcast for a few years, diving into deep analysis of DayZ code and the community itself, alongside informational videos on his YouTube. With a warm welcome, congratulations Marks.
Secondly, boats. Boats have been one the most requested vehicles in DayZ (probably behind bicycles) for years. We personally first recall boats as part of the DayZ Expansion mod, so can only speculate that the hiring of @Salutesh had something to do with this. Either way, we're happy about the addition. See what the devs had to say about the boats and other 1.26 updates in the video below!

It's hard to miss the attention @Kubelolive's map, Banov has been getting recently and with good reason! Earlier this year, Kubelo announced a huge overhaul to the map and an expansion to the lore. Since being released into it's current iteration, Kubelo is more focused than ever on providing the best Banov experience he can. The attention to detail has to be commended and long may the development of this fan favourite continue.

@Asmondian has done it again, this time with 3 new and improved crafting sheets to help you survive throughout 1.26. These crafting sheets cover everything from base building watchtowers to gagging yourself, if that's what you're into. Full HD quality versions of these images are available on wobo.tools extremely useful website.
These meticulously crafted images offer a blueprint for player-crafted gear, adding a new layer of depth and customization to their survival experience.

Since the announcement of boats is a hot topic right now, you can forgive map makers and server owners for being a little excited at the possibilities.
@ProjectLemons is no exception. They've customised their Zagoria server ready and waiting for the 1.26 update.
The plural used, 'masses', suggests this tiny island won't be the end of the additions, so knowing Zagoria and ProjectLemons, we're expecting some great things!

As if we didn't get enough behind-the-scenes magic already, @Battlesquatch has given us, in their words, 'an approximately 8,280-slide powerpoint presentation' detailing the creation of a new island for Anastara! The video is a little over 2 minutes long but in real time, it took over 2 hours! This goes to show the level of detail required to make such interesting terrain is a very time consuming task.
Thanks for the peek behind the curtain! We look forward to sailing our new rubber boats to the island!

If you're anything like us, you rarely step foot onto Skalisty Island. Sure, there's a good chance to find some decent start gear there, but then to swim back only to get popped by a freshie from Kammy is heartbreaking.
Well, the team over at @DayZABC have given you a little more reason to risk it by adding a bunker deep under the isles surface.
What lays in wait for you? Who knows. Perhaps you'll have to find yourself one of them new fancy boats and check it out for yourself.

@Connor CDS has been known for making texture packs and weapon mods for the community for a long time. This time, Connor has turned his attention to the world of fashion, crafting a series of retextures for survivor clothing that are sure to elevate your style in Chernarus.
One of the standout additions is the new fireman's outfit. This iconic ensemble not only provides protection from the elements but also adds a touch of rugged authenticity to your character.
For those who prefer a more tactical look, Connor has also crafted a new military camo retexture. This camouflage pattern offers superior concealment in various environments, making it an ideal choice for stealthy survivors.

There's mystery and then there The Plague RP.
Plague RP offers a unique and immersive experience, with a focus on storytelling and character development. Players are encouraged to create detailed backstories and engage in role-playing interactions with other survivors. From forming alliances to engaging in intense PvP battles, the possibilities are endless.
"They’ll learn about the stories of the past, and dark tales of shadows in the night watching people moving about the island. Some tales are said to be no more than bedtime stories meant to frighten children, but if the people have learned anything it is that there’s often truth in tall tales."

Laws will always be known as the first of the pioneers who wanted this feature added into DayZ for consoles and is still operating today. As you suffer through the cold to find food and supplies, this server puts more pressure on the survivalist to stay alive. Upon death, you will be banned for 24 hours. No chance to regain your gear and forced to wait to spawn in again. This style of server makes you think twice about PvP and leans on teamwork. Great server to test your survival skills.

DARK
This server is all your DayZ nightmares rolled into one.
This mission-based server is a test of navigation and survival. On the Livonia Map with a spawn-in situation like never seen before and needs to be played, so as not to spoil the emotional ride. Your mission is to make it to the escape point located in the southwest.
The server is completely dark with player-targeted gas strikes coming every 30 minutes for all players. Sign up on the Discord and get all the info you need to test this amazing concept out.

The creator of the beloved Rostow map and the lead who brought us Takistan Plus, @Cype_Revenge, has announced that their new, unnamed project is nearing completion. This map promises to offer a fresh and immersive experience for players, with new tropical landscapes, locations, and challenges to explore.
While specific details about the new map remain scarce, Cype Revenge has hinted at a diverse range of environments set in a tropical landscape, with some of the largest cities we've seen!
We look forward to catching a tan in this tropical arena.

Sign-ups are now open for GROUNDWAR: A Biological Emergency! Allied Nations Vs. Russian Forces in a 24v24 battle to locate and secure Patient Z.
Teams will consist of 20 soldiers with 4 medics. You will need to protect and rely on your medics.
To win you either completely wipe out the other team or hold down the location for 45 minutes!
