It's been a little over a month since Bohemia Interactive announced the merger of Livonia into the base game. Those who already owned DayZ but not the Livonia DLC, would now own it free of charge!
Fast forward to 27/05/2024 and the mad rush of Community server updates, mod tweaking and in-game music volume sliders adjustments had arrived. Well, for PC gamers at least.
Unfortunately, console gamers had to wait a little while longer for their update whilst the team at BI worked to get past the big Green and Blue console guards.
This is a rare setback for the team, as previous updates have gone without a hitch so we can only imagine the hard work then went on to get this live for the console community. The update went live for console on 29/05/2024.

Sumrak's Namalsk has hit an all time high with the new map announcement. Survivors have flocked to condition their survival skills in readiness for the Sakhal.
Namalsk, love it or hate it, is one of the most unique and challenging modded experiences out there.
It's a cruel map. You spawn in freezing to death, most of the food you find will be frozen, and the small map along with the 40 player cap means that you are immediately forced to compete against other players or try to team up. This sharpens your survival skills ten fold.
This island map has captured the imagination of thousands worldwide. Immerse yourself in the unforgiving environment. Step foot into its post-Soviet landscape, derelict Cold War installations and come face-to-face with the harsh climate of mother nature.

Anastara
Anastara
Anastara a new map that has seen a large amount of action in the last two weeks. Anastara isn't your typical DayZ experience. This intricate custom map mod throws players into a meticulously crafted island world brimming with diverse landscapes.
Explore dense forests teeming with life, navigate treacherous mountain ranges, or brave the murky depths of hidden swamps. Every corner offers a unique challenge, from battling ferocious crocodiles in the swamps to uncovering hidden loot stashes in abandoned villages.
This project has a lot of names attached to it, but keep an eye on @BattleSquatch's X account for updates and news!

Think you can tell your Stary Yar's from your Zvir's? Well now you can prove it with this insanely addictive geo guesser at DayZGuessr.com.
The rules are simple. You are given 5 random locations across the map and you must select where you think the character is standing. The closer your guess, the higher your score!
At the time of writing, only Chernarus is available with two other maps under construction. When we spoke to the creator, Gv3-Flyver, they said "I wanna expand to more maps. Livonia, Banov, Deer Isle ect. More gamemodes: Hot Streak, Chaos ect."
Our top score is 2349. Can you beat it?

There's been a few interetations of TRMZ's theme song, from Synthwave to Acoustic music. @JoshuaAdamStevens created this incredible song featuring a full set of lyrics! Whilst it doesn't follow the standard melody of TRMZ's theme, it instead goes down a new route of heavy guitars, double kicks and a touch of screaming.

DayZ Underground, affectionately known as DUG, was one of the first Organic RP servers made for the community. This year, the server turned 10 years old and is as still as popular as ever.
This 10th Anniversary Movie by @Legit_POP_Live showcases why this server deserves legendary status. Featuring cameos from TRMZ, AmishZed, Smoke as well as some recognisable characters you'll bump into whilst playing DayZ Underground.

After the huge success of the PC based KarmaKrew servers, @M1ndr and the KarmaKrew team and been working hard on bringing their unique experince to console players!
The Xbox server quickly gained constant full pop and within 15 minutes of the PlayStation server going live, it was just a popular!

This event promises to keep you on the edge of your seat. An invite-only event hosted by @Arriana, affectionately known as "The Queen of Events" and @ChimneyLive have banded together to bring you FrontlineZ.
Not much is known about this event so far, apart from the contents of the teaser video below. As the Emergency Broadcast Messages rings out, a State of Emergency is declared which seems to pit the forces of Chernarus and Livonia against each other! I tried to squeeze more info out of them, but Chimney just started talking about butter. True story.
Invite-only suggests streamers are going to be all over this, so make sure you plug in the extra monitor so you can watch the war unfold from all angles!

Moving on. This is a points based event, where you and your partner need to complete tasks, make kills and simply survive to earn your way to the top. Most of all, make sure your aim is true, as killing Mo will certainly have you counting your losses.

Hosted by @ChimneyLive, @Bwad99 and @DocDreist, a monthly competitive Solo Battle Royale Event on Namalsk is exactly how I want to spend my Sunday. This event takes place 30/06/2024 and will be shoutcasted by @Jiinxy and @MikeyLarkin.
30 solo players compete to earn one of two winning spots: last person standing and most kills.
At the end of the season, the winners of each event will fight for the final championship!

With every update, engagement, or event, we produce a significant number of high-quality screenshots from multiple angles, shot sizes, different lighting and so on. We use around 60-70% of screenshots we produce. As a result, we have a library full of unused, quality screenshots just sitting and collecting digital dust.
In the spirit of community involvement with Friendly? Podcast taking the Community Spotlight initiative, we’d like to give something back. Starting this month, we aim to provide the Friendly? podcast with 5-8 screenshots each month for all the community to download and use however they wish—from thumbnails to social media posts. Some will have our logo on the bottom right while others will not. You are free to edit, crop, change the images.
